The Under 30 Days Vendor program has been going well. I have been shocked at the response to it, that I have been getting. So thank you, all you designers that have asked for a package. There will be some new person out there very grateful for you generosity.

On that note, GM Nikolaidis, Designer of Spork, was one of the people to contact me almost right away. He was fast with setting up his kit, and I popped on over to test and grab it up.

This kit was another almost full kit.

You get one Female shape, called Freedom. This shape is very slim, yet has curve in the right places. I happen to really enjoy the butt, just look at that!

The face of Freedom has full lips and a very foxy eye. With the way the mouth was shaped, she always seems to have a little smirk, a secret joke she has not yet decided to share.

This package is super special. Why? It has fitted eyelashes. You can't beat that, no screwing around, cause lets face it, you just rezzed inworld, the last thing you want to do is attempt to fit lashes. They are called Tango, and have a very full light feathering to them.

To complete the look of your face, there is a set of eyes in the package. The eyes are from Spork's Eclipse Line. You get them in a deep blue colour, and you get 2 versions, night and day. Now what is this night and day thing about? Well some designers in sl, when making eyes, offer different versions. This is so you can have a more realistic look. You'll notice with these the night version has a wider pupil, and the day version has the illusion of being lighter. If you are taking photos, and have your viewer set to night, you can wear your night eyes. It'll make the end picture seem more real when you are done with it. Night version on top Right, Day version directly under.

The fun doesn't stop there. You get an outfit in the kit aswell. You get the London Jeans in black, with a bootcut and normal leg. Now what is the difference? Well if you wear the normal ones with sl boots, you'll see the clothing layer poke thru, if your boots are bigger. So most designers offer the bootcut ones, so you can "Tuck" in your pants.

You get the SaraSmiles shirt in Crimson. It comes in all layers. Different layes help, because someday you might find this reall wicked jacket, and want to wear you shirt under that jacket layer, so having them all allows you more flexibility in your wardrobe. Sadly not all designers do multiple layers.

Here is my Main Account(Helena Stringer) modeling a dress from Spork that is part of the Designers Showcase Network, DSN for short. DSN was the idea of a very talented scripter, Rika Watanabe. She thought it would be nifty for designers to have a different way to get a new customer base. Her system sends out samples of participating Designers, in all different fields, to anyone signed up. This would be a very good thing for you avis just starting out. It is sort of like window shopping. You get the item, see if it's something you like, and then go visit the store, with the provided landmark.

Renee Harvy is one of my favvy designers, and also now a friend. I had the luck of finding her store one day, on a quest for shoes for my sister.

The thing about Duh! and why I was instantly attached to the store, is simply the items are high quality and low budget. I will forever love a good deal, designer or not. It comes from my RL, not this freebie culture that has started here in sl.

Renee takes sculpt kits, and mashes them all up, makes textures and turns her creations into something new. She does in fact make more then just shoes, but shoes are what we talk about today!

There is an "Under 30 Days" kit at Duh! and the greatest thing about it is the Unisex factor.

In the pack you get a white and a black version for each male and female. This is a good starter set for any new person, who is off exploring their new world.

Duh! is very active in hunts, and this is one of the samples from a hunt going on right now! It's from the Skipping Stones hunt, and you'll find it in the store, in a little stone somewhere. You get both a male and female.

These are a sample of the shoes you can actually purchase. They are one of my favorite styles, and come in a bunch of colours, which is also a wonderful factor, specially for people like me. They are called Slip-on Clogs.

The first place I hit when searching for nooby goodness was Elate! I had remembered something being said that there was a package there, so I thought why not try it out. This package is perfect for a new avi starting out, and wanting some style.

I'm very VERY impressed by the shapes in this package. There are 3 all together, as shown here. The Emma Shape 1(Left) is tall and modelesque, but somewhat more teen in feel to me. Emma Shape number 2(Middle) is like #1's older sister, with a more mature body shape, defined nose, filled out cheekbones and more muscle mass. Emma Shape Number 3(Right) has a shorter stature, more curvey figure and seems to be one of the most beautiful shapes I've seen in a long time. All around I love these all. I don't buy shapes on my main account, I've custom made my own, cause often the faces make me cringe. But these are so well done, I'm almost sad I can't have them on my main. Tho I'd have to reshape all my hairs, ACK!

You can see the slight facial differences here. Emma Shape 1 to 3 form Left to Right.

You get 4 Emma Skins in the package as well. There are 4 tones, a nice way to start your adventures in your second life, with a choice.

Here is the closeup of the makeups. I have always been uber picky with lips, and these are just wonderful. A frosty lipgloss with a blushed base. Great Shaping.

If the shapes and skins were not enough, you also get a outfit, and with choices! You get the shirts, in basic black and white, in all layers. They are mod, so the white is tintable, giving you even more options. There is a skirt, with not one, oh no, but 2 options. You have have the flexi or the basic tighty.

All in all it this pack made me super happy, and will make your new avi, or noob friends have a very nice start.

WHAT IS THAT?

That is me, well not me, sort of me.

Confused?

I've recently made myself a Store Alt. It was getting really hard to be in as many projects, have all my satellite shops, my advertising groups and my own store groups. All in all it left me with 3 groups for my personal use and one open, some of the time. Most times I'm just grouped right out. A few fellow designers told me to start up a store alt. I mean we all have alts, I have 2 others, so I cap out at 4 now, but this girl was just for the store. It's a lovely idea.

So here she is, trapped in a cage at Tuli. A good place for any new avatar. I was checking to see if Tuli had released her new Resident packs yet.

Now as a Free*Style Blogger, I couldn't get past the idea of doing a big ass under 30 days hunt, my list I use to have is so old, it no longer really applies, there was like 3 shops that still had things.

This made me think, let get the info out there.

So the Month of August I'm hopping around with my alt, making posts on the blog. What I also wanted to do was encourage designers to set something up for new residents. I haven't even got something out! even tho I had always wanted to and meant too. So I'm working on my package as we speak.

So here is what I'm doing:

I made a scripted vendor package, which has a few different styled vendors that are scripted to give a package to Avatars under 30 days. I'm going to b giving it to any Designer who wants one, just post in this post that you want the package(it comes with the scripted vendors, the info and instructions) or send me a notecard with your request(I'm Helena Stringer remember?) and you can try me in IM, I'm almost always on, but notecards are best. I'm giving this package free to any who want it.

I'm going to compile a list of stores which have a package for Avatars for under 30 days. I'm looking for the scripted ones, the True under 30 day gifties! and Vouchers, like Diversity has.

Any designer that has an item, please tell me on this post, or get to me the above way, and I'll send my new avi out to your store. I'd love to have you all on the list.

I'll be reposting the list every week from now on, so EVERYONE can send their new friends to find it. I know there are lists, but I've had a load of a time trying to find them, and all my own are so old, it's not funny. I'm feeling my sl years.

Things new residents need the most:

Poses
AO's
Walkers
Skins-Specially Males
Shapes-Specially Males
Shoes
Eyes

and honestly anything Male specific or unisex. The men hardly ever get anything good, and I have found like 3 packs for them, only 3. I might just suck as a hunter, but for new people, they'd be even worse right?

Anyways that's from what I've seen and heard. Try to think of things that could work with many new styles. It's easier to wear black heels with anything then to wear pink ones. Easier to have the staple hair colours-Blacks, Browns, Reds, Blondes and Whites, then for a guy to try to work with Teal. It doesn't mean you can't throw those in, just think of the bigger picture when trying to make your new avatar pack.
